Breakfast Success for Green PEA
We recently hosted an executive breakfast which proved very successful with a number of local businesses being introduced to the scheme.
The event was staged at the RNLI in Poole, themselves already a supporting member of Green PEA, and attended by a variety of new Poole-based business leaders and existing Green PEA delivery partners. A presentation from the Hadland Care Group gave a fascinating insight into how one large company in Dorset is addressing the ‘green’ issue amongst all of its staff and subsidiary businesses.
During the breakfast Level 1 certificates were presented to Steve Waring from The Global Group and Sarah Fisher and Andrew Bowdidge from Spectrum Property Care. Closing remarks were given by Councillor Mohan Iyengar, the Borough of Poole’s portfolio holder for economic development, who stressed the benefits of Green PEA for organisations looking to reduce their energy costs and lower their carbon footprint.
Paul Cooling, our Chairman, commented:
“This event was aimed specifically at business leaders, to engage with them and inform them of what Green PEA can offer to their organisations. It was really encouraging therefore to see Poole companies such as Greendale Construction and Ibcos Computers taking the time to come along this morning. The Green PEA network is a fabulous way to share experiences and we are indebted to Cheryl at Hadland Care Group for sharing her incredibly positive experience of Green PEA, which serves as a real inspiration to all Poole businesses.”
