The Green PEA scheme was initially designed to aid the reduction of carbon emissions within the Borough of Poole, in-line with the Borough’s 2020 carbon reduction target and its involvement with the EU Covenant of Mayors. Since starting out in 2013, the scheme has experienced continued growth and most recently national recognition, winning a ‘Highly Commended’ award at the 2015 EMEX Exhibition.

The Poole scheme has over 60 members, including significant Poole employers Lush Cosmetics, RNLI and the Lighthouse Arts Theatre.

We hold regular networking events, to introduce new companies to Green PEA and allow existing members to catch up with developments and share best practice.

“The Borough of Poole is committed to caring for the environment and the principles of sustainability. The Green PEA scheme offers a fantastic opportunity for local Poole businesses to reduce energy costs and help contribute towards our Borough-wide Covenant of Mayors 20% carbon reduction by 2020 target. The Green PEA scheme will play a vital role in developing and supporting Poole’s economic vision, to make local businesses more sustainable, profitable and energy efficient”.

Mayor of Poole, Councillor Xena Dion.
